Travel outfits can be tricky. You are not just going to be wearing them. You are going to be packing them and carrying them around with you. So, you need each individual element of the outfit to be versatile, functional, and practical, if not lightweight.
Getting all of that right would require some research. What kind of location are you visiting? Winters warrant one kind of outfits, while summers are very different. If you are travelling in the summers, are you going for a lighter summer or a difficult one? Are you going to a place that would need you to travel a lot by foot? Would you have to pick outfits that can handle physical strain? Are you going to a city or to the countryside?
If you are looking to pack your bags for a comfortable and fashionable summer travel, we can help you out. Here are five outfits which we have decoded, that will really help you picture your own looks more clearly
Summer Travel Outfits For Men
Outfit 1
Because these are for summer travel, shorts are going to be your best friend. An outfit like the one here dresses the shorts up, but not at the cost of their inherent comfort. Pair black shorts with a dark army green shirt, and make sure they are both fitted without being way too snug for you to walk around in them.
With a shirt like this one, let it take centre stage – do not tuck it in. Carry a light beige backpack to make the outfit more functional, and match it with sneakers. Also, note how the two-toned sneakers here match both the shorts and the backpack here.
Outfit 2
For walking around in the day, pick a light-colored tee like this one. It is a summer-y, breezy look that can be switched up with the shirt that is tied around the waist. When taken off and tied around, it works like a pretty convenient accessory. The shorts are dark, matching the palette of the shirt.
The sneakers are coordinated with the shirt to keep a balance over all. But, if you are going to be carrying white sneakers, make sure you also carry some sneaker polish with you. Dirty sneakers can really ruin a look, and you don’t want that to hold you back from exploring the new space.
Outfit 3
Or you could go with the time-honored white shirt and denim shorts combination. The beauty of each of these two elements is that they can be paired up with pretty much everything.
This color of the denim shorts, a classic, works well with light and dark shirts, as well as t-shirts. But because the shorts are very well-fitted, you don’t want to wear a shirt that disrupts the silhouette, or one that looks a little too baggy on you. You can also accessorize with some bracelets and a silver watch.
Outfit 4
You want to take that previous outfit and do something a little more experimental with it, go for a linen shirt like the one in this picture – something in a parchment white. But linen shirts do tend to crinkle up a lot, so make sure you pack it in a way that does not ruin the ironing of the shirt.
You can pair it with straight cut dark blue cotton shorts. These are a little more accommodating than denim shorts, so they would make walking around even easier, especially if you are travelling on hot, humid days. Accessorize with a silver watch, an elegant bracelet and some classic, dark shades.
Outfit 5
You can also go for classic pale blue pinstriped shirt, and a pair of beige shorts. Pinstriped shirts often look quite formal. Since you are picking one for vacationing, choose one that has a more subtle pinstripe, so that it looks more laid back.
You also do not want to tuck the shirt in, so that the breezy look of the outfit is retained. Pro-tip – if you are wearing really fitted shorts like this one, the pocket space on them will not be too much, and you really do not want to stuff them. So, keep the pockets light when you travel.
